“JOURNEY is MAGIC!!
“This CD is a must have. Technical mastery meets inspiration in a blend that is pure magic. Listening to musicians totally in sync is a rare treat, but this performance brings being ‘in the groove’ to a level that is breathtaking. ‘Journey’ delights the listener with an energy and finesse that is so often lacking in this musical idiom.
“Highly recommended!” — cookjanice@earthlink.net from Providence RI, August 5, 1999
“Personality with a humorous twist — Journey by Bill Keis is a tasteful CD with memorable melodies. This CD is not a bunch of musicians showing off ‘chops’ as I hear in most contemporary jazz CD’s. The CD explores swing, fusion and latin feels; Keis is comfortable and conversant in each style. As the last song finishes, you want for more. I highly recommend this to the listener who is interested in hearing an up and coming luminary.”

“Wow... Journey is a trip. I had the pleasure of listening to ‘The Journey’ by Bill Keis after hearing about it from a friend. It’s content reveals a great deal of artistic sensitivity. Journey is a rare and unusual compliment between the musician’s expertise, and their uncanny enharmonic surprises. Journey is a must for the lover of Jazz.”

“You continue to totally amaze me with your talent and professional abilities. Your music is wonderful - at turns stimulating, relaxing, thoughtful. And always complex, but easy to listen to. I have decided that I must buy a CD player for myself so that I can listen to ‘Journey’ whenever I want to, instead of whenever my roommate is around!”

“Just wanted to tell you how great your CD is!
“Seabreeze is my favorite cut - got stuck in traffic and played it 12 times in a row. Bought your cd at Borders in Thousand Oaks when you were with the quartet - when will you be back? Hope to see you soon.”

“I’ve listened to your CD a few more times...
it gets better each time (the true test of music). Excellent stuff! You can also rip on the piano like a monster.”
